The Truth We Ignore

“Have you ever noticed how, when someone tells us something good about ourselves — “You’re doing great,” “You’re kind,” “You’ve got potential” — we just… dismiss it? But when someone says something negative, we believe it instantly. It’s strange, right? The truth is, we react stronger to negativity — even when it’s not the full truth. We respond to negative comments about ourselves because we believe them. And that affects how we see ourselves.

So maybe it’s time to dig into the positive side of who we are — just as deeply as we analyse the negative. Because self-realization isn’t just about facing your flaws. It’s about accepting your worth, too.”
